KCCI polls

KARACHI, Dec 26: Shamim Ahmed Shamsi has returned unopposed, with all candidates of Businessmen Group (BMG), on member class and town association seats of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for 2007-08 ahead of Dec 29 elections. This was announced by the chief of BMG Siraj Kassam Teli here on Wednesday.

Teli said that there would be no elections of president, member class and town association on Dec 29. However, a managing committee meeting would be held on Monday to elect a senior vice president and vice president of KCCI, followed by the annual general meeting.

The following are the names of 14 successful candidates elected on member class seats and one town association: Member class : Younus Mohammad Bashir, M. Shariq Vohra, Shakeelur Rahman, Mohammad Hanif, Mohammad Hanif, Humayun Laiq, Khurram Saigal, Islam Hamid, Atiq Sekha, Durre Shahwar Nisar, Shamim Ahmed, Faisal Jahangir, M. Ameen Bandukda, Nasir Mehmood. Town Association: Jamal Rasheed.—APP
