KHAIRPUR, Dec 20: The former general secretary of District Bar Association, Khairpur and PML-F leader, Asadullah Maitlo, along with his community men and friends, has announced on Wednesday evening that they had decided to join the People’s Party. He made this announcement at a reception hosted by former district nazim of Khairpur, Nafisa Shah, at her residence here late.

Asadullah said that PPP was a true democratic party which had been struggling for the restoration of democracy in the country, therefore, he quit PML-F and joined PPP.

On this occasion Nafisa Shah said that all the Pakistan People’s Party candidates would sweep the upcoming elections in the district.

She alleged that the district administration and police were openly supporting PML-F candidates and added that during last five years, PML-F leadership restored to political victimisation, harassment and also promoted the culture of land-grabbing in the district.
