ISLAMABAD, April 1: The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the release of former Muslim League (Nawaz) MPA from Rawalpindi Chaudhry Tanvir Khan.
He was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on charges of owning properties disproportionate to his known source of income.
The SC bench, which granted him bail, consisted of Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, Justice Rana Bhagwandas and Justice Sardar Raza Khan.
Advocate Wasim Sajjad represented the former MPA, and NAB was represented by Accountability Bureau prosecutor-general Raja Bashir.
The bench, in its short order, stated:
