KARACHI, Dec 17: Berthing was slow as only two ships carrying furnace oil and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Germany, Norfolk Express, Bernice, Sophia, Vema Cape, Sinar Agra and Seattle Trader, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, furnace oil, chemicals and iron or.

A cargo volume of 61,676 tons comprising 56,232 tons of import and 5,444 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Archangelos-R, Norfolk Express and Germany left the port while Seattle Trader and Sinar Agra were due to depart.
