THOUSAND OAKS (California), Dec 16: World No. 1 Tiger Woods Woods shot a 10-under-par 62 in the second round of the 5.75 million dollars Target World Challenge, giving him a four-stroke lead on Friday.

Woods is at 13-under par (131) after 36 holes, while Jim Furyk is four shots back after finishing the second round with a 67.

Woods’ strong round began with a 20-footer on the fifth hole and a 15-foot birdie on No. 11.

He had a 30-foot birdie putt on 12 and a 25-footer on the following hole before sinking an 18-foot shot for birdie on 17.

While Woods benefited from some long putts, he also was deadly with his irons and wedges.

Woods avoided mistakes, unlike the first round, when he made double-bogey on the final hole. This time, Woods was bogey-free for the round, which included a six-under 30 on the back nine.

It only took Woods sixth holes to erase a one-stroke deficit and regain the lead at Sherwood Country Club.
