SAHIWAL, Dec 14: The PML-N Lawyers’ Forum liaison secretary on Friday withdrew his nomination papers from NA-160 besides announcing quitting the politics. Talking to reporters in his office, Shaheed Posswal said he had actively been taking part in political activities under the leadership of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, but he was unable to continue that under present circumstances.

He vowed to continue his support to lawyers’ movement for the establishment of rule law, supremacy of the Constitution and independence of the judiciary.

He, however, declined to comment on reports that he got disappointed after PML-N did not issue him a party ticket.
