KARACHI, Dec 13: Seven ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where eight ships, Hyundai Sprinter, Iran Tabatabaei to unload and load containers, Chang Le Men, Atlantic Express to unload and load general cargo, Nafto Cement to load cement, Swat to offload crude oil, Hady Tanker Glory to load molasses and Tug Chou No.6 to load fish were berthed after the departure of four.

The departed ships were led by Sinar Agra, Al-Hussani, Heng Shan and APL Shenzhen, while Kapitan Byankin, Atlantic Express, Swat, Iran Tabatabaei and Nafto Cement are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 66,757 tons comprising 15,371 tons of export cargo including 5,247 tons of cement and 51,386 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Calvin P Titus, Kota Mesra, Orient Pride, Cape Negro and Mir Damad with containers, Sealo-1 to load 23,000 tons of cement and Iron Butterfly with project cargo.
