TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 12: Police on the directives of the district coordination officer (DCO) on Tuesday night seized a truck smuggling flour to Balochistan and arrested its driver and conductor.

DCO Nawazish Ali was returning to Toba Tek Singh after attending a meeting in Faisalabad at around 11pm on Tuesday when he spotted a truck laden with 750 flour sacs near Noorpur railway station. The truck was reportedly loaded from a Gojra mill.

The DCO called the police, which took the vehicle and its staffers in custody. DCO Nawazish also directed the food department to register a case against the smugglers after investigations.— Correspondent
