KARACHI, Dec 11: Four ships carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, one more container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy fell to 60 per cent at the wharves where six ships, Maersk Ohio, Nedlloyd Europa, Bernice, Al-Soor-II, Yanaseni and Sinar Agra, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, diesel oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 99,045 tons comprising 82,877 tons of import and 16,168 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Brianna, Chembulk Singapore and Al-Salam-II left the port while Maersk Ohio, Nedlloyd Europa, Sinar Agra and Yanaseni were due to depart.
