ISLAMABAD, Dec 8: Justice Rana Bhagwandas and Justice Ghulam Rabani were taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Saturday morning when they complained of urological problems, sources told Dawn.

The two detained judges were taken to the hospital at around 9:30am amid tight security from their besieged residences. Scores of personnel of law-enforcement agencies accompanied them.

The sources said Justice Rabani had been complaining of a prostate problem for a couple of days, which was increasing and he needed urgent medical assistance. Justice Bhagwandas was also suffering from similar problems.

They were allowed to get medical assistance after their condition deteriorated.

Both the judges underwent medical tests at the urology department and then ultrasound examination.

Later they were taken back to their homes.
