PESHAWAR, Dec 8: A bomb hoax created panic in the Bhana Mari area here on Saturday evening. Local people thought that someone had placed a sack packed with explosives in the area. Some people immediately called the bomb disposal squad after which Inspector Hukam Khan rushed to the area.
Later, he told Dawn that the sack was filled with pieces of clothes and other useless items, which had been inspected. He said it was a hoax to create panic. Ironically, officials of the police station concerned said they did not have any information about the incident.
