Azhar shines

LAHORE, March 30: First Law Company entered the final of the Summer Cup Polo Tournament, defeating Guard Filter 3-1 in the semi-final at the Lahore Polo Club ground Saturday.

Azhar Ali was the main scorer for the winning team. He scored two consecutive goals in the second chukker. Punal Yar added one goal in the third chukker.

The consolation goal of the Guard Filter came from Irfan Ali Hyder in the fourth chukker.

Earlier, a hat trick by Asif Yar Tiwana helped Uni Gas to beat Rachna Club in the subsidiary pre-final 8-3.

Asif Yar Tiwana scored two goals in the second chukker and one in the third to complete the hat trick. Besides him, Zain Khakwani and Adnan Lone added two goals each. Usman Hayee chipped in with one goal.

For the losing side, Aslam, Abid Nawaz and Saeed shared the scoring honours.
