Poll tribunal accepts appeals

QUETTA, Dec 6: The Balochistan Election Tribunal on Thursday accepted the appeals of 12 candidates who had challenged rejection of their nomination paper by returning officers.

The appellants were Noor Bano and Dr Zul-i-Huma for women reserved seats in the BA; Jamil Ahmed for PB-5, Quetta; Nasrullah and Azizullah for PB-8, Pishin; Syed Sharifuddin for PB-9, Pishin; Mohammad Farooq for PB-10, Pishin; Maulvi Hanif for PB-11, Qila Abdullah; Salahuddin for PB-33, Khuzdar; Irz Mohammad for PB-39 Chagai; and Maulana Azizuddin and Maulana Ghulam Haider for NA-262, Qila Abdullah.—BoC
