MARDAN, Dec 2: Police have got freed a child and arrested the ringleader involved in the kidnapping.

Police on Sunday said that Suhail, son of Ajab Noor, went out of his house for a bicycle ride on Nov 26 and never returned. The family came to know that the child had been kidnapped when they received a phone call from the culprits demanding Rs5 million as ransom.

The matter was reported to police who took immediate action and tracked down the kidnappers from the mobile number they used to make the ransom demand. One of the kidnappers turned out to be the family’s neighbour, Shakirin.
