HYDERABAD, Nov 30: Officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday surveyed the Niaz Stadium for necessary renovation work ahead of the Pakistan-Zimbabwe One-day International, to be held in January at this venue.

Zimbabwe will play their first one-dayer here against Pakistan, tentatively scheduled for Jan 26.

Local officials including Regional Development Manager Abdul Hussain Shah started preparatory work for upgrading the ground to bring it at par with the other stadiums of the country.

On Thursday, PCB’s Manager Projects Zahid Hussain arrived here along with his staff members to see the ground.

He went around different enclosures of the stadium as well to see the seating arrangement and other facilities for the crowd and players.
