LAHORE, Nov 28: Mohsin Sheikh, the talent hunt officer at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) National Cricket Academy (NCA), has resigned from his post amidst reports of maltreatment in the academy.

Mohsin, who is currently holidaying in Australia, has sent in his resignation to the PCB, a copy of which was obtained by Dawn on Wednesday: “My decision is prompted by the unethical behaviour of a couple of non-professionals at the NCA towards me,” wrote Mohsin.

The letter, addressed to PCB’s Director Human Resources and Administration Nadeem Akram, also highlights the unprofessional attitude of officials at the NCA who cancelled allegedly cancelled Mohsin’s two-year contract, inked during the tenure of Shaharyar M. Khan as the PCB chairman.

“Not to mention that I was the only candidate who went through the interview process by the then Chairman Shaharyar Khan and Imtiaz Ahmad, the member of the former ad hoc committee of the board, while every other appointment at the NCA was based on recommendations,” Mohsin added.
