KARACHI, March 29: The last date for submission of application forms for computerized national identity cards is June 30, official sources at the provincial headquarters of the National Database Registration Authority said on Friday.

Commenting on the confusion that the last date for submission of computerized national identity cards application forms is March 31, the sources said those submitting their forms till March 31 could possibly get their cards by June 30.

However, application forms could be submitted, with a fee of Rs35 each, by June 30, the sources said.

They said forms could also be submitted even after June 30, but the fee would be enhanced to Rs140 for each form. Besides, applicants could get their computerized national identity cards from “swift” centre, the sources added.

About validity of the old national identity cards after June 30, the sources said the status of the old national identity cards was being considered, whether or not it could stand cancelled after June 30.
