HYDERABAD, Nov 26: Former chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Pakistan People’s Party leaders Qaim Ali Shah, Aftab Shaban Mirani and Sassui Palijo and Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi of PML-F were among the candidates who filed nomination papers for national and provincial seats in their respective districts on Monday.

In Hyderabad, 15 candidates filed papers for NA-218 Matiari, including Makhdoom Amin Fahim, 14 for PS-43, 16 for PS-44, 10 for NA-221, 10 for PS-50, 19 for PS-47, 12 for NA-220 Hyderabad, 12 for PS-45, 11 for PS-46, 11 for NA-219 Hyderabad, 13 for PS-48 and 18 field papers for PS-49.

Fourteen candidates filed papers for NA-223 Tando Allahyar, while in Tando Muhammad Khan, Syed Naveed Qamar (PPP) and Pir Sajjad Jan Sarhandi (PML) submitted forms for NA-222 and PPP’s Syed Mohsin Shah Bukhari and PML’s Mir Ali Nawaz Talpur and Pir Sajjad Jan Sarhandi field papers for PS-53.

In Nawabshah, candidates of PPP, JUI-F, PML-F, PML and SUP filed papers for NA-213, NA-214, PS-24, PS-26, PS-27 and PS-28. In Sanghar, candidates of PPP, PML, JUI and MQM filed papers for NA-234, NA-235, NA-236, PS-78, PS-79, PS-80, PS-81, PS-82 and PS-83.

In Naushahro Feroze, candidates field nomination papers for NA-211, NA-212, PS-19, PS-20, PS-21, PS-22 and PS-23 while in Thatta, PPP’s Sassui Palijo was among the candidates who filed papers for five PS two NA seats.

In Badin, candidates of PPP, PML filed for NA-224, NA-225, PS-58, PS-59, PS-55, PS-56 and PS-57. In Dadu, candidates filed papers for NA-232, NA-233, PS-74, PS-75 and PS-77 while in Mirpurkhas, 12 candidates filed papers for NA-226, NA-227, PS-64, 65, 66 and 67.

In Shikarpur, 10 filed papers for NA-202 and 203, and several others for PS-9, 10 and 11, 12.

In Mithi, former chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim was among those who filed papers for NA-229, PS-60, NA-230, PS-60, 62 and 63. In Jacobabad, Khairpur, Larkana and Nawabshah candidates filed papers for national and provincial assembly seats.
