KARACHI, Nov 23: The one-off Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh U-19 teams ended in a draw on the fourth and final day at the National Stadium on Friday.

Pakistan U-19s, who set an improbable target of 289 in 23

overs, were 70 for the loss of one wicket in their second innings, when the match was called-off seven overs earlier with the mutual consent of the two captains who saw no chance of a result.

Ahmed Shahzad followed his hundred in the first innings with an unbeaten 46 off 60 balls. Ahmed’s opening partner Shan Masood got a pair in the match. After being bowled for a first-ball duck by Rubel in the first innings, Shan was trapped lbw for a fourth-ball duck by Dolar Mohammad in the second innings.

Bangladesh U-19s were bowled out for 273 in their second innings with half-centuries from Rony Talukder (53) and Marshal Ayub (59) after having resumed at their overnight score of 58-3.

Mohammad Rameez followed his 4-73 in the first innings with 3-55 in the second.

The Bangladesh U-19 squad will now travel to Hyderabad for the first one-dayer against Pakistan U-19s on Monday.
