KHAIRPUR, Nov 23: Speakers at a convention were told that Sindh is facing difficult times as it has been deprived of its share of water since the past one-and-a-half century and due to this the agricultural land of the area has been turned into arid zones and farmers destroyed.

Sindhi Shagird Tehrik (SST), the students’ wing of Awami Tehrik, organised the convention at the Shah Abdul Latif University here on Thursday.

The convention was presided over by SST central general secretary Javed Larik.

He said that in such circumstances, the youth of Sindh, particularly students, should get more education wage struggle for the rights of Sindhis.

Yasir Nawaz Karnani and Mohammad Hussain Mahar were elected as president and secretary of SST, SALU, respectively.
