NBP-KCCA Inter-club League from 27th

KARACHI, Nov 21: With top 14 clubs in the fray, the NBP-KCCA Inter-Club League Cricket Championship will commence from November 27 at different grounds of the city.

The inaugural NBPInter Club Cricket Tournament was organized last year in two phases. The first phase included the NBPInter Club Tournament on knockout basis in which a record number of 153 clubs took part. Pakistan Cricket Club annexed the tournament by beating Khizra Sports in the final.

In the second phase NBPSuper League was organized contested by 16 top teams from the NBPInter-Club knockout Tournament. The final of NBPwas organized at National Stadium Karachi which was also won by Pakistan Cricket Club which defeated the Rafiq Shirazi Cricket Club.

In all 152 matches were played in the first phase and 31 matches were played in the Super League stage.

It has been decided that the finalist teams of the latest zonal tournaments of each zone will be invited in the revived KCCA Senior League. The fourteen teams have been divided into two pools as under:

Pool A: Pakistan CC, Delhi City Gymkhana Zone II, Rangers GymkhanaZone III, Pak Gymkhana Zone IV, Korangi Alfatah, M.Z. Memorial C.C. Zone I, Nazimabad Gym Zone VII.

Pool B: Khizra Sports Zone I, Dawood Sports Zone II, Mohammad Hussain C.C Zone III, Faisal Gymkhana Zone IV, Korangi Friends C.C Zone V, Late Ismail Jaffer C.C Zone VI, A.O. Blues C.C. Zone.
