Five die in accident

SIALKOT, Nov 20: Five people, including two women, were killed and eight others injured when a minibus hit two motorcycle-rickshaws near Kotli Bawa Faqir Chand, some 10 kilometres away from Pasrur, on Daska Road on Tuesday.

A speeding motorcycle-rickshaw was trying to overtake another when they both collided with a minibus coming from Daska as a result of which five people — Asma, Shabana, Sanaullah, Tauheed and a rickshaw driver — were killed on the spot.

Eight others were injured and were hospitalised in Pasrur, Daska and Lahore while five of them are said to be in critical condition.

The Pasrur Sadar police have started investigations.
