Hamza shines with three goals

LAHORE, Nov 19: Three-goal Hamza Mawaz Khan steered Adisseo to win Pace Cup polo, with a 6-4 triumph over Rangers in the final on Sunday. Hamza, opened the account in the first chukker to enable his team to come out with 1-1 score as Amanat Ali had struck a goal for the losers.

A close competition witnessed in the second chukker, too as the score was 2-2 after Hamza scoring his second, while Arshad banging home for the losers.

The third chukker saw Adisseo coming in front for the first time as Sameer Oberoi struck back-to-back. Asif Zahoor pumped in for the Rangers but to make it 4-3.

In the final chukker, Adisseo had taken the game beyond to Rangers, scoring two more through Hamza and Mohammad Raza. Asif Zahoor struck his second for the losers.

GoodWill Foods thrashed Remington 9-3 to earn third place.

In-form Asif Tiwana struck five goals. Tanvir Tariq (3) and Umair Mogoon (1) were the other scorers for the winners. For losers, Faisal Khan (2) and Hussain Iftikhar (1) were the scorers.
