KARACHI, March 27: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will enhance the frequency of its flights to London to nine, besides reintroducing twice-a-week Islamabad-Birmingham flights in the new summer schedule, with effect from March 31.

The national flag carrier is also introducing 5th flight to New York via Manchester, in the new schedule, sources at PIA told APP.

Of the five New York-bound flights, one flight is non-stop from Karachi while two will be operating on Karachi-Islamabad-New York and two on Karachi-Lahore-New York routes.

In the new schedule, the third terminator to Manchester is being added with two flights from Islamabad and one from Lahore.

Besides, there will be three non-stop flights for London from Karachi, and a sixth weekly flight from the Northern gateway.

Thus, this summer PIA will be operating nine flights to London, three to Manchester and two to Birmingham.

Another change brought in the new summer schedule is day-time operation of Karachi-Dubai-Karachi flights, whereby PIA flight will take off from Karachi at 1600 hours and at 1730 hours from Dubai.

In the meanwhile, Multan-Faisalabad sector has been separated from the mix sector. Now the people will have the facility of direct travelling between the two cities.—APP
