Army convoy attacked; two injured

MANSEHRA, Nov 16: Two soldiers were critically injured when an army convoy going to Shangla was attacked in the Kass bridge area, 3km north of Battagram, on Friday. Sources said that grenades had been hurled from nearby hills on the convoy of over two dozen vehicles. Police sources said the injured soldiers were taken to the army camp in Battagram from where they were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital in Abbottabad.

The sources said an FIR had been registered by the Ganger police.

It is learnt that before launching the operation in Shangla, the army had established three checkposts in Mara, Thakot and Bisham areas..
