KARACHI, Nov 13: Hosts Jinnah University College (JUC) stormed into boys and girls semi-finals in the second JUC Inter-school badminton championship at their premises on Tuesday.

In boys, JUC got the better of Beaconhouse Secondary School 2-0 and are drawn to meet Foundation Public School who chalked up 2-0 victory over Fahims A levels.

In the two other matches, The City School Gulshan Campus beat Fahims O levels 2-0 while Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus carved out 2-0 win over The City School Gulshan A levels.

As far as girls’ matches are concerned, JUC prevailed over Fahims A levels 2-0 and will be up against Beaconhouse Cambridge PECHS who accounted for The City School Prep Branch Gulshan by the identical margin.

Foundation and Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus also won their matches in straight sets. The former beat Beaconhouse Secondary School while the latter defeated Fahims O levels.

Boys (quarter-finals) Foundation Public School bt Fahims A levels 2-0; Jinnah University College bt Beaconhouse Secondary School 2-0; The City School Gulshan Campus bt Fahims O levels 2-0; Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus bt The City School Gulshan A levels 2-0.

Girls (quarter-finals) Foundation Public School bt Beaconhouse Secondary School 2-0; Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus bt Fahims O levels 2-0; Jinnah University College bt Fahims A levels 2-0; Beaconhouse Cambridge PECHS bt The City School Prep Branch Gulshan 2-0.

Wednesday’s fixtures: (semi-finals) Matches starts at 9.30am.

Boys: Foundation Public School v Jinnah University College; The City School Gulshan Campus v Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus.

Girls: Foundation Public school v Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus; Jinnah University College v Beaconhouse Cambridge PECHS.
