ISLAMABAD, Nov 10: Deposed senior judge of the Supreme Court Justice Rana Bhagwandas, who has been kept in confinement in his official residence at the Judicial Colony, celebrated Diwali, the Hindu religious festival, with his family members.

The senior judge along with seven other judges was removed and confined in their houses for refusing to accept the emergency rule and not taking oath under the PCO. Justice Das and his family members could neither receive nor send any greetings on the occasion of Diwali as he was also deprived of all the communication facilities.

He was also denied to meet his relatives on the occasion, living in sectors F-7 and G-10.

The festival continues for five days and Justice Das and members of his family celebrated the first two days of the Diwali at the official residence because of the restrictions on their movement.
