QUETTA, Nov 10: The Frontier Corps on Saturday seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including rockets, anti-aircraft shells and landmines, in Rabat area of Taftan on the Pakistan-Iran border.

According to sources, the FC personnel conducted a raid on a tip-off about the pile of arms.

The arms seized included 4,300 rounds of anti-aircraft gun, eight rockets, five powerful landmines, 13 mortar bombs, fuse wires and a huge quantity of rounds.

Sources said the arms had been smuggled into Pakistan from Afghanistan for its further shipment to the interior of the country for subversion activities.

The security forces also recovered two anti-personnel mines, detonators and five kg of high explosive in Kurdan area of Dera Bugti.
