HISTORY was made and records were beaten at this year’s Oscars ceremony in Hollywood — not least of the record for the longest Academy Awards show ever.

The 74th annual awards went off without a hitch — except that they overran their expected three and a half hour slot by one hour and 20 minutes, making the show the longest in the golden statuette’s history.—AFPu
