Premier League starts on 16th

KARACHI, Nov 8: The fifth edition of KASB Premier League soccer starts from Nov 16 with 12 teams vying for honours, hosts Karachi United announced on Thursday. Taha Alizai, Karachi United director administration, said the event had been expanded with seven events demarcated into three divisions and a cup tournament.

The organisers said that C division would be the knock-out round and the finalists in each district would advance to the B division – the championship.

Altogether 160 teams will be in action in C division of which 10 will qualify for second tier which begins in January next year.

The Cup, which starts from January, will have 12 Premier League teams and the 10 championship teams which will be joined by 20 other teams from the rest of the city.
