LAHORE, Nov 8: Pakistan’s deaf cricket team made a clean sweep of their three-match series against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, according to the results released by the Pakistan Deaf Cricket Association here on Thursday.

In the first match, a captain’s knock by Zaka Ahmed (181) helped Pakistan win the match by 198 runs. Batting first, Pakistan piled up 330 for seven in the allotted 50 overs with T Sjaya claiming three wickets for 75.

Besides captain, the other key scorer was M Iqbal, who made 69. In reply, Sri Lanka were skittled for 132 in 46 overs as Adnan Ghani picked up four wickets for 12 runs.

In the second match, Pakistan registered a 58-run win in a low-scoring match which was curtailed to a 20-over-a-side game due to rain interruption.

Pakistan scored 149-4 in 20 overs with Naseer Ahmad (43) and Adnan (35) as main scorers. Naseer earned 4-15 as Sri Lanka were all out for 91 in 18.5 overs.

In the third match, four wickets by Nadeem enabled Pakistan to complete the whitewash winning the match by 22 runs. Batting first, Pakistan scored 162 in 46.1 overs with Nabeel Anjum (41) being the key contributor.

In reply, Sri Lanka were all out for 140 in 46.4 overs as Nadeem claimed four wicktes for 26 runs.
