KARACHI: Two libraries inaugurated

KARACHI, Nov 7: Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil inaugurated two newly renovated libraries in Landhi Town on Wednesday.

The project cost around Rs2.8 million.

Landhi Town Nazim Syed Asif Husnain said development projects worth Rs190 million were underway in the town. He said the town administration would develop 13 more libraries on modern lines.

Ms Jalil praised the town administration for setting up coaching centres for the poor.

Meanwhile, Liaquatabad Town Nazim Usama Qadri issued tenders for 71 various development projects.

The projects include patchwork, repair and construction of roads and streets in various union council of the town, CC flooring, repair of trenches, carpeting of internal lanes, RCC slabs on nullahs, cleaning of drains, construction of parks, boundary walls, improvement of streetlights, laying water and sewerage lines, repair of leakages.

Mr Qadri said people of the town would witness a big change on completion of these projects.—PPI/APP
