Youth shot dead

KHAIRPUR, Nov 6: A youth was killed in Pir Jo Goth by armed men on Tuesday.

Some unidentified armed men opened fire at Asadullah Kanhar, 18, resident of Sikandarabad, in Shahi bazaar, as a result of which he died instantly.

His body was handed over to relatives after post-mortem from rural health centre Pir Jo Goth.

SALU: Professor (Dr) Nilofer Shaikh, vice-chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur, visited different examination centres in colleges on Tuesday where examinations of affiliated colleges of SALU were being held.

She said that the ‘copy’ culture will not be tolerated for which university has taken lot of efforts.

Ms Nilofer said that the university has set up 57 examination centres in which more than 6,800 candidates were appearing at various examinations of BA, BSc, BCom, part-I and II, MA (previous and final) annual examinations 2007.
