QUETTA, Nov 6: A number of lawyers, including Balochistan Bar Association president Baz Mohammad Kakar, were arrested in the city on Tuesday.

Because police had locked the main gate of the district courts to foil lawyers’ plan to take out a procession in protest against the imposition of emergency, the lawyers demonstrated outside the court and held a meeting of the general body.

They raised slogans against President Musharraf and the PCO.The meeting decided to continue the boycott of court proceedings.
