SUKKUR, Nov 5: The acting district and sessions judge of Sukkur, Shakeel Hyder Shah, was asked to relinquish the charge and report to the registrar of the Sindh High Court in Karachi after he issued a show-cause notice to an SHO for misbehaving with a court official on Monday.

The judge had appointed magistrate Naveed Tahir as raid commissioner to trace the whereabouts of Shahbaz Khan and Gul Khan, brothers of Lala Asad Pathan, a correspondent of a private TV channel, following an application filed by Sohail Khoso against their arrest the previous day.

Lala Asad said that when the court official conducted a raid on the C-Section police section and was examining entries made in the register, SHO Khalid Memon asked him (Asad) to leave the place.

He said that Naveed Tahir, the magistrate, reported the matter to the judge, who issued a show-cause notice against the SHO. But 15 minutes later, the judge himself received orders to hand over the charge and report to the SHC registrar in Karachi.
