Policemen included in attack probe

KOHAT, Oct 31: Two policemen have been included in the investigation into an attack by the Taliban at a checkpost on Monday from where they took away 11 imported guns and ammunition, officials told Dawn.

District Police Officer Dr Vaqar ordered their interrogation on the suspicion that they might have staged the attack to steal costly weapons and sell them in the market.

However, personnel deputed at the Sheikh Mohammad checkpost insisted that eight Taliban had attacked the checkpost and after blindfolding them, they took away the arms and ammunition.—Correspondent
