DERA ISMAIL KHAN, March 23: In case of any unpleasant situation, the person responsible for law and order would not be spared at any cost, irrespective of his rank and designation.

This was stated by the NWFP Inspector General of Police (IGP), Saeed Khan. He was talking to newsmen at Circuit House here on Friday.

He said foolproof security arrangements had been made throughout the province for the observance of Muharram in a peaceful manner. Those who would try to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in any part of the province, he warned, would be dealt with severely.

The IGP asked the people and the journalists to keep a vigilant eye on those who could disturb peace during Muharram and if they noticed any person or an incident suspected of leading to disturbance, they should bring it to the local police high-ups.

Saeed Khan expressed his deep satisfaction on the security arrangements made by local police chief and termed these arrangements as exemplary.
