KARACHI, Oct 31: Four ships carrying containers, seeds, edible oil and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, another ship with furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 80pc as eight ships, Nedlloyd Africa, Maersk Davao, Multan, Skipper Ali, Saranna Naree, Chem Lily, Jagur-V and Maha Rose, were busy in loading/offloading containers, rice, seeds, edible oil, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 56,772 tons comprising 34,089 tons of import cargo and 22,683 tons of export tonnage was handled.Sailing was active as Maersk David, Brianna and Westama left the port.
