HYDERABAD, March 23: Elaborate security arrangements have been finalized by police in Hyderabad district to monitor mourning processions till Muharram 10 with the help of 5,000 policemen, a police spokesman said here on Friday.

Around 12 areas have been declared sensitive throughout the district where special attention would be paid by police authorities.

These areas include Bulri Shah Karim, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Jam, Tando Allahyar and Goth Noor Khan Chang.

Close circuit televisions connected through networking have been installed on the main thoroughfares of mourning processions in the city.

The streets connecting main road of Qadamgah and Karbala Dadan Shah would be closed with barbered wires and law enforcers would be deployed there.

Around 200 pickets would be established at 28 sensitive points in the city, Latifabad, Qasimabad areas.

The DPO Hyderabad presided over a meeting of Peace Committee at his office on Friday evening.

Representatives of different sects, welfare and scouts organizations and citizens attended the meeting.
