Exporters’ database

Published October 31, 2007

KARACHI, Oct 30: The rade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has signed one year contract with ICIL for preparation of exporters’ data management system.

Chief Executive of TDAP Tariq Ikram said on the occasion that in order to maximise exports there was a need to form a user-friendly database of exporters.

Despite the fact that the TDAP already has a database of exporters but it was felt that more accurate information data should be available to facilitate trade.

The data management system will carry category-wise exporters’ list based on HS code and would be a step forward towards automation of TDAP’s entire working system.

The system will help exporters to establish contacts with consumers and importers around the world.
