ISLAMABAD, March 23: The bodies of two Pakistanis — who died in a bus accident in Saudi Arabia — were received by family members and representatives of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) at Islamabad Airport on Friday morning, the OPF director (welfare) told this scribe.
The deceased, identified as Abdul Samad and Khalid Hussain Satti, were among 38 Pakistanis who died in an accident at Batha, near the UAE-Saudi border, on February 13.
The remaining 36 bodies were buried in Saudi Arabia as their identity could not be ascertained.
The body of Mr Samad was sent to his hometown of Kohat while that of Mr Satti, a resident of Kotli Sattian, buried in Rawalpindi.
A majority of the deceased Pakistanis who died in the tragic accident were retired technicians of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) who had been living in the UAE without their families.
The OPF official said letters had been sent to the legal heirs of the deceased, offering cash and scholarships in compensation.
