KARACHI: Two shot dead

KARACHI, Oct 29: Two people were shot dead in separate incidents in parts of the city on Monday. A 51-year-old man was shot dead during a bungled robbery near Burhan Petrol Pump on Super Highway. According to Sohrab Goth police, two motorcyclists intercepted Azizur Rehman’s car, a real estate broker and resident of North Nazizmabad. The dacoits opened fire at him when he put up resistance. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Hospital sources said that the man had received a fatal bullet wound in his upper torso.

According to Artillery Maidan police, a 30-year-old man was shot dead in Hijrat Colony. Identified as Zahid, a Suzuki pick-up driver, the victim was brought to the JPMC. The victim had received two bullets in his upper torso.

Police said that the suspects in the murder case had been identified and probe into the matter was in progress.

Meanwhile, the body of an elderly woman was found in the limits of Jackson police. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital where she was identified as Shah Bibi, resident of Kalri.
