KARACHI, Oct 24: Eight vessels carrying palm oil, chemicals and containers and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where only two ships, Faith to unload and load containers and Stolt Endurance, a tanker, were berthed after the departure of five.
The departing ships were led by Augusta, China Star, Grigoroussa, Multan and Akaki, while MOL Ability, Stolt Endurance, Faith, Zang Za San Chong Nyon, Kapitan Byankin, Asian Queen, Qatari Ibn Al-Fuja and Nan Chang Hai are due to sail out on Thursday.
A total tonnage of 78,466 tons comprising 19,251 tons of export cargo and 59,215 tons of import cargo was handled on Wednesday.
The following ships are due on Thursday: T.M.T. Pinyamas with 6,500 tons of palm oil, Chemstar Barve, Maliau with chemicals, Lalazar with crude oil, Rising Om to load naphtha, Pac Anitlia, Emirate Adam and Eric G. Gibson with containers.
