TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 21: A woman has accused a sub-inspector and 10 others of kidnapping her daughter.

Speaking at a press conference at the Toba Tek Singh Press Club on Sunday, Kaneezan said her daughter Robina was kidnapped from her house in Chak 345 GB on Sept 9 by Mustafa, Ramzana, Khalid Burwala and Hameed Jat of the same village, Haq Nawaz of Chak 319 GB, Ashiq of Chak 334 GB, Hameed of Chak 343 GB, Rana Tariq of Chak 301 GB, Tahir of Chak 385 JB and Babar of Chak 694/36 GB in connivance with Arrouti police Sub-Inspector Rafaqat Bajwa.

She said the accused, who were members of a notorious criminal gang, asked her to give them in writing that she would not seek action against them after they release her daughter. She said on her refusal the accused registered a case with Arrouti police on behalf of her daughter, accusing their opponents of her rape. She said the case was quashed when the accused did not produce her daughter before the district police officer and deputy superintendent of police for investigation. She said she contacted all police officials for her daughter’s release, but to no avail.

She appealed to Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi to order action against policemen not registering a case against the accused and recovery of her daughter. She said she feared the accused would kill her daughter if action was delayed.
