NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 19: The Additional Sessions Judge Kandiaro sent a sub-inspector of police to jail in a sodomy case on Friday.

Sub-inspector Mohammad Yamin Shaikh, resident of ward No. 7, Mehrabpur, was facing a sodomy case registered at the Mehrabpur police station.

The ADJ, Iqbal Ahmed Khwaja, sent him to jail when he appeared before him in the same case.

Complainant Mohammad Sharif Mughal had lodged an FIR 20/2007 lodged at the Mehrabpur police station under section 337 (J) intoxication substance and 377 PPC (unnatural offence).

The complainant maintained that the accused Sub-Inspector Yamin Shaikh while sitting at the otaq of Ghaffar Shaikh, ordered cold drink through his son Mohammad Naeem 18, and when Naeem was leaving the place, the accused persuaded him to have cold drink. He further stated the accused mixed some intoxication substance in the cold drink and gave it to his son who lost senses after drinking it.

Later, the accused criminally assaulted the boy. The complainant further said that some people dropped Naeem at his house.

When he regained senses, he narrated his ordeal to him on the basis of which he lodged an FIR against the accused sub-inspector.

KILLED: One person died and nine others received injuries when a Sadiqabad-bound speedy passenger coach coming from Karachi overturned near Pir Mashakh, on the National Highway at Halani, in the wee hours of Friday.

The deceased Mehdi Hassan 30, was resident of Lahore. The injured were identified as Ghulam Shabbir, Ghulam Hussain, Javed, Mohammad Bux, Ali Mohammad, Tanvir, Lal Din, Allahdino and Kamran. All the injured were removed to Halani hospital.
