Road closure

Published October 18, 2007

KARACHI: The Sindh police have decided to close Sharea Faisal at 10am on Thursday, a few hours before Benazir Bhutto’s arrival.

A police official said the stretch of road on Sharea Faisal from Malir Halt to Regent Plaza would be closed to traffic at 10am while M.A. Jinnah Road would be closed after 4pm. He, however, did not say how long the roads would remain closed for traffic.

“We don’t have details right now,” he added. “Such immediate orders are issued late in the night. There would be no movement of public transport, private vehicles and motorcycles due to road closure at the given time by containers.”
