DADU, Oct 13: Regional director of Sindh ombudsman in Dadu has issued notice to EDO education here on Friday to submit report within seven days regarding excess and fake appointments in the education department.

The regional director ombudsman issued this directive on the complaints of some affected people.

District Nazim Karim Ali Jatoi has ordered to cancel all excess and fake appointments and constituted an enquiry committee over the issuance of the fake appointment orders in the education department.

Some reports claimed that the EDO education Dadu issued 567 appointment orders against 273 vacant posts in grade 1 to 4, after taking bribes.

Due to the excess and fake orders, the treasury had refused to pay their salaries, while offices concerned and schools had refused to accept their joining reports.

An affected person, Naban Lund, complained to the regional director ombudsman Dadu that the EDO education had issued three orders to him on the same day, Aug 13, 2007, one for peon another for gardener and third one for watchman. He stated that the school concerned had refused to accept his joining report.

Naban alleged that he had paid a huge amount to the EDO office for the appointment.
