Seven die in accident on G.T. Road

ATTOCK, Oct 12: Seven persons died and three were injured in a road accident on the main G.T. Road, in the jurisdiction of Attock Khurd police station, on Friday.

Police said that a car was on the way to Peshawar from Lahore when it overturned near Gondal. The car went to the other side of the road and hit another car, which was on the way to Rawalpindi. As a result seven persons, sitting in both vehicles, died.

Saad Ghulam, Mohammad Din, Najeeb, Sabir, Saeed, Sarwar and an unknown man died on the spot while three persons Bismillah, Amanullah and Khudai Noor sustained serious injuries.

SHO Attock Khurd police station and DSP National Highway and Motorway Police along with their officials shifted the victims to the District Headquarters Hospital Attock.

Mr Zaheer, an official of the motorway police, told Dawn that legal action would be take against car driver Amanullah, who was allegedly driving the vehicle recklessly.
