HYDERABAD, March 21: Two daughters of Mehmood Khoso, an under-trial prisoner, who was tortured to death by some officials of the Central Jail, Hyderabad, held a protest demonstration and hunger strike outside the Hyderabad Press Club on Thursday against the murder of their father.

The activists of the Sindh National Party and the Sindh National Council, who had held hunger strikes against the Thal canal project also joined the protest to express solidarity with the bereaved family of Mr Mehmood.

Talking to newsmen, Dr Dodo Mehri and Hussain Bux Thebo condemned the inhuman atrocities unleashed by the jail administration against the prisoners.

LUMHS: A team of the lMC Alumni UK comprising Dr. Anwar Baloch, president Sindh Doctors Association, UK, and Dr. Nazir Dahar, consultant urologist in England visited Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro here the other day.

The team visited various departments of the university and expressed satisfaction over the pace of progress and development in the university during last one year.

TEST: The entry test for admission to post-graduate courses-2002 will be conducted at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, on March 28.
