Each gift pack distributed among the children contained three pairs of clothes, shoes, biscuits, toffees in addition to Eddi of Rs833 each for Darul Atfal children and Rs200 to Rs300 to the children of CRPH.

Out of these 50 children, 38 belonged to CRPH and 12 to Darul Atfal units.

The EDO CDD Hyderabad, Shafatullah Unar, while distributing the gifts among the children on behalf of district nazim, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, said that district nazim had sanctioned an amount of Rs10,000 each for Darul Atfal and CRPH units on August 14, 2007 as a token of encouragement and welfare of the children.

He added that same amount had been utilised to share the Eidul Fitr celebrations with the children by providing them gifts for Eid.

He said that Zila Nazim Hyderabad and DCO Hyderabad were taking keen interest to convert these units into reformatories and capacity building centres by providing education and technical training of different trades including computer literacy to these children with a view to enable them to earn their livelihood on their own.

The regional director information Hyderabad, Allah Bachayo Memon, an honorary guest, said serving humanity was the greatest worship and continuity of this practice had raised the credibility of the district government among masses.
